Sykes Business Development Executive in Tampa, Florida
Working under limited supervision, this position generates revenue for SYKES by playing an active role in the business development process. This includes generating leads, qualifying opportunities by understanding needs, closing business through structured sales and marketing activities, and working with client services professionals to improve their business development activities. This position is generally expected to achieve a larger revenue attainment
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Adheres to SYKES policies on ethics and integrity.
Works with Sales and Marketing to define market segments, identify and close strategic alliances, define valuable product enhancements, and implement advertising and promotional programs.
Responsible for the development and implementation of short and long term plans and strategies designed to further product and market growth.
Works closely with all operational departments, including IT and Client Services, to refine product operational requirements to ensure they are met, and to implement new and valuable product features.
Assures that market intelligence is received and analyzed so that market opportunities may be capitalized on as they occur, and the affects of competitive activity may be minimized.
Dependent on business/client need, initiates, cultivates, and maintains professional relationships with current customer base, as well as prospective new customers, to include providing assistance in the resolution of complex operating issues.
Provides marketing advice and guidance to various operating units to ensure that overall marketing effectiveness is equal to or better than competitors.
Reviews activities of product lines and markets for strengths and weaknesses and takes corrective action when necessary.
May perform other additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
