Sykes Accountant I in Denver, Colorado

This position will perform a variety of accounting activities with emphasis on the month-end closing process. This will include account reconciliations, performing account analysis, processing transactions and assisting with the preparation of financial statements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Adherence to SYKES policies on ethics and integrity.

  • Apply cash and reconcile all cash accounts.

  • Submit invoices to AP and help with coding.

  • Assist with the monthly closing process including the calculation of accruals/prepaids and the input of journal entries.

  • Reconciliation and analysis of balance sheet, income and expense accounts.

  • Research and correct any account discrepancies.

  • Prepare and distribute monthly management reports. Assist in the preparation of quarterly and year-end audit schedules.

  • Record fixed asset additions, disposals and ensure proper calculation of depreciation expense.

  • Assist in identifying and implementing system and process improvements. Other special projects, as assigned.
